The Edit Resources feature in the Tracker allows you to move resources on the card to adapt to the current progression of an incident.
Edit Mode
To access the Edit Mode, the user must select "Edit Resources" at the top of the tracker.
Once inside the Edit Mode, the user can select the dropdown at the right of the resource:
The available options display in the dropdown:
The options available are:
Move Up: When this option is selected, the resource will move up one position. This means that it will either advance to the up to next level of alarm if it is already the first resource, or it will move up within the same cell.
Move Down: When this option is selected, the resource will move down one position; either shifting to the next level down if it is the last resource in the current level, or it will move down within the same cell.
Replace: When this option is selected, the side panel will open, allowing the user to manually choose a resource to replace the current one. This action does not trigger an auto-fill or backfill - only the selected resource will be replaced.
Edit Comment: When this option is selected, a text field will appear allowing the user to edit or add a comment to the selected resource. Comments can be used to provide context or instructions related to that specific resource.
Delete Resource: This allows you to remove a resource from the card. This action does not trigger any automatic movement or replacement of other resources - it simply deletes the selected resource from its position.
Action Logging and Traceability
Actions performed within Dispatch Edit Mode - moving, replacing, deleting resources - are automatically logged for traceability. These logs ensure transparency and accountability.
The recorded actions can be reviewed in real time from the Logs section or as part of the Timeline Report.
The Edit Resources mode is available in both the Production and Sandbox environments. It is strongly recommended to test and familiarize yourself with the feature in the Sandbox first. This allows users to explore its functionality, understand its impact, and ensure confidence in its use without affecting live operational data.
